Bride Rachel McAvany had her own love island when she married sweetheart Keith Shell.
The couple wed on remote Lindisfarne, in Northumberland, where their families have lived for generations.
It was the first wedding between islanders in 30 years - with all 120 inhabitants invited as guests.
Their big day started when they honoured a Holy Island tradition by walking under an arch of blazing shotguns.
Rachel, 26, said: "It feels so good to become a little piece of our island's history.
"Everyone on the island was invited in some way or other, and it's quite a big deal because it's the first islander wedding for about three decades."
The newlyweds, who run the Crown and Anchor pub, honoured several Holy Island marriage customs.
Outside the church, they scattered coins for local children, while Rachel, had to jump over the "petting stone", with the support of the island's oldest fishermen, to bring good luck and fertility to the marriage.
