SCHOOLCHILDREN got to grips with some of the complexities of the world of science yesterday.
Youngsters at Firthmoor Primary School, in Darlington, have tackled an array of subjects over the past few days as part of a science week project.
Each day has had a different theme, from forces to materials, and pupils have been encouraged to discuss the issues further with their parents and teachers.
They have been helped by Andy Dodds, of the Impact Educational consultancy, which works with primary schools on science and technology projects. Deputy headteacher Anne Dixon said the week had proved a great success.
