POLICE are concerned for the welfare of two 15-year-old schoolgirls who have been missing since Wednesday and are believed to be together.
Dishani Cooray of Sulgrave Road, in Washington, she was left at St Anthony's Comprehensive School in Sunderland by her mother but she failed to attend and was marked as absent.
Her friend who is also missing under similar circumstances is Rosie Conlon of Fourstones Road, Ford Estate, Sunderland.
Dishani is described as Sri Lankan with a Wearside accent, 5ft 6" tall, slim build, brown eyes, very long straight brown hair. She was last seen wearing a St Anthony's School Uniform, a navy blue blazer with green piping, navy blue mini skirt, white blouse, navy blue jumper with green piping , navy tights and black shoes.
Rosie is described as white, with a local accent, 5ft 5" tall with long straight brown hair with a few blonde streaks, earrings and a nose stud. She was also wearing a St Anthony's school uniform. She was also wearing a short white jacket.
Police believe the two girls who are good friends are together and may have travelled out of the area to either London, Leeds, Bradford or Manchester.
