A DOCTOR will face a disciplinary hearing for allegedly offering to write fake sick notes.
GP Anand Anand had told the General Medical Council that he was a victim of entrapment.
One of his co-accused was yesterday cleared of allegations made by The Sunday Times newspaper.
Dr Anand and two other GPs, Abdulaziz Jamal and Hari Singh, both from Cardiff, still face allegations of misconduct and the case is expected to be opened against them today.
Dr Anand, of Elmfield Road, Gosforth, Newcastle, faces misconduct allegations after he was visited by a reporter at the Elmfield Health Group, in Elmfield Road, on November 20, 2003.
