A TEENAGER accused of killing his father appeared in court yesterday.
Shaun Leckenby, 18, is charged with the murder of 45-year-old Ronald Leckenby, who was found dead at his home in Sunderland, on Saturday.
Police made the discovery after officers were called to the house, where both men lived, in Park Street South, Castletown, at 4.15am.
A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Leckenby, a chef, died from stab wounds.
Yesterday, Shaun Leckenby appeared for a short hearing at Sunderland Magistrates' Court. The case was adjourned and he was remanded in custody, to go before Newcastle Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, February 1.
