A show that was first produced and presented in North Yorkshire is to make its debut in the West End.
Steptoe and Son In Murder at Oil Drum Lane was a big hit last year at the Theatre Royal, York.
Written by Ray Galton and John Antrobus, it took its cue from the much-loved and often-repeated Galton and Simpson television series.
On February 16, it will transfer to the Comedy Theatre, in London, for a nine-week run with the same cast - Jake Nightingale, as Harold, and Harry Dickman, as Albert.
The Theatre Royal's chief executive, Dan Bates, said: "We are delighted that Steptoe and Son in Murder at Oil Drum Lane has transferred to the West End.
"It is great news for the city of York and also for the staff at the theatre. They have once again put in an amazing amount of work throughout the year to produce such a high standard of theatre work that is acclaimed around the country."
Tickets for the West End show are on sale priced from £15 to £35 and are available from the box office on 0870 060 6637.
