A PENSIONER has been left shaken after she was mugged by two men and threatened with a syringe. The attack took place in the Lakes Estate in Redcar, at about midday on Monday, between Mersey Road and Snowdon Crescent. The woman, who was in her sixties, was left in an extremely disturbed state and suffered grazes in the attack. She was forced to remove her rings, which included an eternity and engagement ring, and had items stolen from her handbag. One of the men was wearing a black hooded top. A man was arrested yesterday and questioned in relation to the attack, then released on police bail.
