A MAN found stabbed to death in his home at the weekend had served a jail sentence over the killing of his brother.
It is understood that victim Ronald Leckenby, 45, was released last year after serving four-and-a half years for the stabbing of his brother, Christopher, during a family row.
At his trial at Newcastle Crown Court, Mr Leckenby had denied murder but admitted the manslaughter of his 28-year-old brother.
On Saturday morning, Mr Leckenby was found stabbed to death in his home at Park Street South, Castletown, Sunderland.
Police confirmed yesterday that a post-mortem examination had established that his death was a result of stab wounds.
Police are continuing to interview an 18-year-old man in connection with the death
