POLICE last night made a renewed appeal for a missing mother-of-three to contact her distraught family as soon as possible.
Vanessa Lynne Wilson, 49, of Darlington, has not been seen since 1am on New Year's Day - when she was last at the Brunton Street home she shares with her father.
There have been reported sightings of Ms Wilson near York railway station. She is thought to be depressed and suffering from memory lapses.
Her family previously lived in North Yorkshire, but have now settled in Darlington and police say they are unaware of any friends she may have in the area.
Ms Wilson is about 5ft 7in, of large build, with untidy, collar-length brown hair and brown eyes.
She may have been wearing a pink coat, a silver Next watch and a silver necklace with a purple pendant.
PC Alastair Rogowski, of Darlington police, said: "She is regarded as a loner and her family are unaware of any friends she may be staying with."
He added that Ms Wilson's family were increasingly concerned.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0845 60 60 365.
