FITNESS and fun were at the centre of a family day which offered face painting and free drinks.
The Ragworth Neighbourhood Centre, in Stockton, gave visitors the chance to sample fitness classes, such as pilates and bums 'n' tums, and to try out the new fitness suite.
The Family Fun and Fitness Friday event aimed to advise people on how to get fit and find out more about health walks organised in the area.
The newly-refurbish cafe at the centre handed out free smoothies to add to the healthy-diet initiative.
The centre teamed up with SureStart to provide something fun for the younger members of the family too.
Children were also entertained with a story time in the library.
Parents were offered free creche facilities so they could try the fitness classes in the knowledge their children had fun safely.
