POLICE have confirmed they are not treating the death of a man who collapsed outside his Ferryhill home on Thursday night as suspicious.
The 59-year-old, who has not been named, was rushed to hospital on Thursday night after collapsing in Davy Street, in the Dean Bank area, at about 6.15pm on Thursday. He had been inside with his wife and an 18-year-old lodger when he heard a loud bang outside. The two men went to investigate but the older one collapsed on the pavement.
He was taken to hospital but died. A post-mortem examination revealed the death was due to natural causes.
