SHOPPING centre staff proved to be full of Christmas spirit when they raised money for charity at their office party.
Cornmill Shopping Centre staff in Darlington raised £1,063 for St Teresa's Hospice by raffling prizes donated by stores within the centre.
The party was held at Escapade nightclub and was organised by the centre's security personnel, Mark Johnson and Darren Singleton.
This week, they presented the final cheque to St Teresa's community fundraising manager David Jones.
Hospice director Jane Bradshaw said: "I would like to thank all the staff at the Cornmill Shopping Centre for their continued support and generosity.
"It is especially touching that they would choose to raise money during their Christmas party and we are all very grateful to them."
Mr Johnson said: "I would like to thank everyone at the centre for supporting our fundraising efforts and for giving so generously at the Christmas party."
