RESIDENTS fighting the demolition of a landmark pub have agreed further steps in their campaign.
The Save the White Horse protest group is battling plans for the North Road building to be pulled down and 55 apartments constructed in its place. The borough council granted permission for the development last year.
But campaigners are to hold a parish referendum on Thursday, with voting to take place in the White Horse from 4pm to 9pm.
It will ask people whether or not they want the pub demolishing. The protest group held a public meeting on Thursday night and agreed to lobby for a no vote.
