STUDENTS at a North-East university are to revive their traditional rag week - ten years after it was last held.
Students from Sunderland University will be outside the Stadium of Light tomorrow collecting cash ahead of Sunderland's match with Chelsea.
Rag week starts on Sunday, January 22, with a quiz night in the Student Union bar.
During the following week, there will be a variety of fundraising events including a best and worst karaoke competition in The Bridges shopping centre and a fancy dress screenwash at the university's Riverside campus.
Money raised during the week will go to six charities: the Grace House hospice appeal, Macmillan Cancer Relief, Age Concern Sunderland, The Meningitis Trust, University of Sunderland Development Trust and the SAFC Foundation.
