CYCLISTS in Hartlepool are being encouraged to saddle up for a 14-mile bike ride this weekend.
It will take place tomorrow, from 10.30am to 3pm and follow a traffic-free route from the Hart to Haswell Walkway, at Hart Station.
The ride will continue on to route one of the National Cycle Network and down to Wynyard Woodland Park.
There will be a chance for refreshments and take a look around the visitor centre before boarding the cycle bus home.
There are still 15 places for the event, which is being organised by Hartlepool Borough Council's countryside wardens and countryside access staff.
Free transport is provided for cyclists and their cycles, and people wishing to take part can book their place by calling (01429) 853325.
