INTERMEDIA Web Development, the region's longest-established Internet firm, is exceeding its expansion plans due to a surge in work.
In the past two months, the Darlington-based company has secured more than £30,000 worth of work and begun to unveil its new brand, Geo-Net Solutions, in Sunderland.
Intermedia has also won another batch of high-profile clients which is expected to eventually create more jobs to add to the 12-strong workforce at its Darlington headquarters.
Among the recent additions to the Intermedia portfolio are Cleveland Motorhomes - one of the North-East's leading motorhome specialists, David Penman Cars - a major UK Seat car dealer - and Number Twenty 2, a popular bar in Darlington.
Intermedia is also working with Salem Tubes, an international specialist in the manufacture of tubes for the refining and petrochemical industry.
Its website has been designed to direct more global traffic to the company, which is based in Prudhoe, and to enhance its market around the world.
Antony Lewis, head of web development at Intermedia, said: "Most businesses now realise that in order to increase their sales an efficient website is vital.
"Much of the work that we have recently taken on is to develop brand new websites and to enhance existing ones.
"This recent batch of new business illustrates perfectly the range of companies that we work with and who we are helping to thrive in a competitive marketplace.
