Three teenagers were seriously injured after a smash involving four vehicles in Northumberland.
It happened on the A1068 at Red Row, Morpeth, at the junction with the B1330 at 4.05pm on Tuesday.
The collision occurred when a VW Bora travelling south on the A1068 turned right into the B1330, at which point it collided with a red Vauxhall Astra and two other vehicles travelling north.
The 19-year-old Astra driver is in hospital in a critical condition.
A 13-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl from the same car suffered serious injuries. A further three people involved were treated for non-serious injuries.
The road was closed for four hours for accident investigations to take place.
