YOUNGSTERS got to grip with arts and crafts yesterday to mark the reopening of a library.
Cockerton Library, in Darlington, has undergone its first major refurbishment since the 1970s.
The facility was closed for more than a month to allow the work to be carried out, but reopened in style yesterday.
Local pre-school children were among the first visitors, as they took part in afternoon arts sessions.
The official re-opening was performed by the Mayor of Darlington, Councillor Stella Robson.
