POLICE are warning thieves to hand in potentially dangerous tablets stolen during a burglary on Teesside.
Officers are appealing for information about the theft which occurred sometime between 5pm on Saturday and 8.50am yesterday morning.
The offenders entered Moss Pharmacy, in Station Street, Saltburn, and used bolt croppers to gain access through a ground-floor window. They then broke into the store's drug cabinet and stole 12 boxes of tamazepam and 18 boxes of subutex, a heroine replacement drug.
PC Paul Stephenson, of Cleveland Police, said: "I would urge anyone who comes across any of these drugs to hand them in to any police office or pharmacy."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Stephenson on (01642) 302626.
Also if you are offered any for sale do not them. They could be very dangerous if taken by anyone other than someone prescribed them by a doctor."
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Stephenson on (01642) 302626.
