POLICE are appealing for information about a house burglary in Trimdon Colliery at the weekend.
The break-in happened sometime between 9pm and midnight on Friday, at a house in Laurel Crescent.
The thief or thieves used a ladder found in an adjoining shed to get in via the first floor bathroom, then searched the house.
They made off with a child's quad bike, two hedge trimmers, two air rifles and an amount of cash.
The child's quad bike is a blue Eton Viper Snake model worth about £1,000 and the hedge trimmers carry the brand name Echo.
Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Constable Neville Price, at Newton Aycliffe CID, on 0845 60 60 365 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
