EVENT organisers are being urged to sign up for a free annual leaflet.
Tourism managers at Hambleton District Council want to include as many local events as possible in the regular listings publication.
Everything from village agricultural shows to charity events and pantomimes can be included in the 2006 leaflet and all the listings are free of charge.
The leaflets are distributed at tourist information centres, libraries and at exhibitions throughout the year.
The council's tourism manager, David Shields, said: "Many events often don't get as well supported as they deserve because they can't afford the advertising. This is a free opportunity to promote themselves."
All listings need to be with Sally Cottam in the tourism section by February 10. She can be contacted at the council's civic centre, in Northallerton, on (01609) 767198.
