AN elderly woman and her older brother were robbed by two men who forced their way into their home, where one began acting like a dog.
The men knocked on the door of the home of the 90-year-old woman and her 93-year-old brother, then pushed past her and barged their way in to the property.
One of the men then dropped to all fours and began crawling around on the floor, making barking noises.
The man then jumped up and grabbed the woman's purse, which contained cash, a bus pass and her post office card.
The two fled the home, in Vicarage Avenue, Stockton, in the direction of St Paul's Court.
One neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said: "I can't believe something like that has happened around here. The poor people must have been terrified by the whole thing.
"I can't believe anyone would target two people in their 90s and subject them to such a terrifying experience."
One of the men is described as white, aged 30 to 35, 5ft 10in to 6ft, and wore a light cream coloured jacket.
The other was white, younger than the first man, was wearing navy blue clothing and may have had a foreign accent.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said the woman and her brother were unharmed in the incident, which happened on Saturday, between 12.15pm and 12.30pm.
