Match of the day in the Wearside League is between third-top Teesside Athletic and leaders Cleadon SC, writes Malcolm Pratt.
Four points separate the sides who have scored the same number of goals but Teesside have conceded one less.
"It's a huge game for both clubs and although we are not yet halfway through the season the result could have a bearing on the title," said Cleadon manager Doug Key.
Cleadon have a full squad to choose from but Teesside are missing Ian Johnson.
Second-top Birtley Town meet fourth-placed Whitehaven.
Stokesley SC are at home to Harton and Westoe, and secretary Peter Grainge confirmed that the club has applied to join the Arngrove Northern League.
Willington go to Ryhope CW boosted by the inclusion of Danny Chapman, Gary Mitchell and Michael Abson but David Pickering and David Snow are sidelined.
Boldon CA host Windscale minus, while Annfield Plain, who this week mourned the death of chairman Frank Ross after a lifetime association with the club, travel to Ferryhill Athletic.
Jarrow host New Marske and Wolviston, who play Gateshead Low Fell, are hopeful that goalkeeper Nicky Farrell will play.
