Bishop Auckland are on their travels again today when they go to Chorley for a UniBond League First Division, writes Ray Simpson.

Bishops desperately need the points to launch a revival in order to close the 13-point gap between them and safety, and manager Brian Healy said: Without a doubt, were looking for a much improved performance compared with our defeat at Rossendale.

"We cannot play as badly as we did in the first half on Monday."

Healy will give on-loan Whitby striker Graham Robinson his second outing, and midfielder Stephen Baynes, signed from York City, his debut. After today, Bishops have four home games scheduled at the Brewery Field before they move back to Shildon. Their last game at Spennymoor is scheduled to be the Bamber Bridge home game on February 18th.

In the first division, Whitby Town, who go to Guiseley, have missed out on signing former Darlington and Hartlepool midfielder Ian Clark. He has instead opted to join Harrogate Town after being made available on a free from Scarborough. Whitby have signed Marc Eccles.
