RESIDENTS in Hartlepool are being offered a chance to visit the town's top tourist attractions at discounted prices.
The council has decided to reduce admission charges at the Hartlepool Maritime Experience in the town's marina until March 31 as a way of thanking local residents.
Adults can buy a ticket which gives them access to all of the quayside attractions and HMS Trincomalee for £3.50, while children and other concessions will pay just £2.50. Usual prices are £6.25 for adults, £3.75 for children and £4.75 for the over-60s. Entry to the nearby Museum of Hartlepool continues to be free.
To take advantage of the discount offer, visitors must provide proof of address.
Attractions at the Maritime Experience include HMS Trincomalee - the oldest warship still afloat in the UK - as well as interactive historical displays, a wooden playship and costumed guides.
