Two men have been arrested after the discovery of a 32-year-old woman found dead in her bed at a house on Teesside yesterday.
One man has been released on police bail while a further remains in custody today as officers continue their probe in to the death of young mother Katrina Armstrong, who lived alone.
Police found the body in a house on West Dyke Road, Redcar, around 11.30am after responding to a tip-off.
A post-mortem has proved inconclusive and samples have been sent away for analysis.
A detailed forensic examination of the Redcar house is under way today as police appeal to local residents for information.
Detective inspector Colin Galloway, who is heading the investigation, said: "A number of people were at the property on Wednesday night through in to yesterday morning when it is believed drugs were taken. Katrina's body was discovered late yesterday morning lying in her bed.
"We want to speak to anyone who visited the house on Wednesday night or in the early hours of Thursday or knows who may have been there.
"We have traced a number of individuals but it is imperative that everyone who was there or has information makes contact."
Neighbours have been shocked by the death of the woman, who is thought to have three children.
Anyone with information should call police on (01642) 302626.
