BUILDING contractor Surgo Construction has increased turnover by 35 per cent to £49.5m.
The Newcastle company, which in the past year has been involved in schemes across Tyneside and South Yorkshire, said the contracts were new and repeat business.
Managing director Ian Walker said: "This has been without doubt a tremendous year for Surgo Construction.
"We are continuing to win significant contracts from new clients but, just as importantly, we are winning repeat business from clients we have worked with for a number of years.
"Looking to the year ahead, we already have a healthy order book and are in discussions on a number of large projects. We will continue to work across a range of sectors including commercial property, education, retail and residential."
