A YOUNG drama group is to take to the stage for its annual pantomime at the end of this month.
Shildon youth dance and drama group The Tearaways will perform Sleeping Beauty at the Shildon Civic Hall, on Friday, January 20, at 7.30pm followed by two further productions on Saturday, January 21, at 2pm and Sunday, January 22, at 2pm.
The group, all aged between eight and 15, have started rehearsals.
A spokesman said: "Everyone has worked really hard on this show. There is plenty to entertain people of all ages including singing, dancing and plenty of laughter. We believe that Sleeping Beauty has to be one of the all time favourite pantomimes and we are looking forward to the show."
