A DOG owner is seeking help in finding a border collie which ran off only hours after being collected by its new owner.
The black and white bitch, called Skye, slipped its collar in Middleton Tyas, near Richmond, on Tuesday, after owner Melissa Slote had stopped her car to give it a walk. It had been collected from breeders in Scotland hours earlier and was being transported home to Norfolk.
The collie ran through the village and then turned towards Barton. It was later spotted on the Richmond side of the A1 near Skeeby.
The dog has a smooth coat, brown eyes, a white muzzle, white stripe extending over its forehead, a black body and a white tip on its tail.
Call 07747 844125, if you can help. A reward has been offered for the dog's safe return.
