A BAND flying high in a website's ringtone chart are hoping that it will be the springboard to achieving similar success in the music charts.
Bishop Auckland-based Battle for 13th are fourth in Moyst ringtone website's unsigned chart with their song Counter Strike.
The website selects songs from unsigned bands across the country and turns them into ringtones for the pubic to download.
Now the six-piece metal band hope to secure a record deal on the back of their success.
Band member Craig Baker said: "Moyst have promised to use their music industry contacts to try and get the song listened to by record industry chappies.
"We have entered the chart in fourth place for the Christmas week, but we want to try and make more people aware."
Battle for 13th won the 2005 Bishop Auckland Pass to the Left Promotions Battle of the Bands and another Battle of the Bands at The Forum in Darlington.
They have played gigs across the North-East, and well as York, Coventry and London.
