It was a familiar story for Bishop Auckland in the First Division as they lost 3-0 at Rossendale, to leave them 13 points adrift of safety.
They went behind after nine minutes to a Bernard Morley penalty awarded for handball, and after 39 minutes a strike by Adam Kaslowski made it 2-0. Bishops struggled to get back into the game but Morley scored the third after 78 minutes.
Blyth won 4-1 at North Ferriby in the Premier Division thanks to a hat-trick by Robert Dale, while Gateshead beat Whitby 3-2 thanks to an 82nd minute winner by Adam Johnston after Whitby came back from 2-0 down.
