A diabetes patient has walked the length of Hadrian's Wall to raise money for essential medical equipment.
Hannah Pierson, 21, from Bolam, near Darlington, embarked on the 84-mile challenge to raise funds for others with the condition.
She collected more than £1,000 in sponsorship from individuals and companies, including Thrislington Engineering and Formica.
A £1,100 cheque was presented to Dr Bill Lamb, paediatric consultant at Bishop Auckland General Hospital, who has also done fundraising walks, to buy insulin pumps for his child patients.
Miss Pierson did the walk over a week in September with her parents, Alan and Adelaide, and friend Ben Jones.
She said: "When Dr Lamb told me he was raising the money, I thought I would like to do something to help. My dad is a bit of a walker, so we decided to do that.
"The amount is much greater than I expected."
