A DAY nursery and out-of-school club is celebrating a double success after becoming the only childcare provider in North Yorkshire to receive two top awards.
The Westfield Day Nursery, in Easingwold, achieved both the Investor in Children Award and the Investor in People Award.
Staff were presented with North Yorkshire's Quality Kitemark and Investor in Children Award at a ceremony in Harrogate after months of work to meet the scheme's exacting standards.
The accreditation process is described as more thorough than an Ofsted inspection, with eight separate modules which are independently assessed.
Three other nurseries in the county have the Investor in Children Award - in Harrogate, Scarborough and Selby.
However, none of them also has the Investor in People Award, which Westfield attained earlier this year.
Owner and manager Judith Tubb said: "The Investor in People Award was in recognition of the way everyone works together at Westfield.
"The Investor in Children kitemark shows parents that the standards of care and education at Westfield really are the best available."
