CHILDCARE provider Kids and Co had a double celebration yesterday as it received two Darlington Quality Assurance Kitemark plaques.
The award was presented to Kids and Co nursery units in the Town Hall and at Borough Road by Councillor Heather Scott.
Children put on a dress rehearsal of their nativity play to mark the occasion.
The group's other site, at North Road in the town, is also working towards the award.
The Darlington Quality Kitemark has been developed to create a culture where all childcare providers strive for quality.
It is also a benchmark for parents when choosing care provision for their child.
The Kitemark scheme has eight modules that take about 18 months to complete.
Staff, parents and children from the nursery units all get involved in preparing information for the awards.
