AN eight-year-old is jumping for joy after becoming a national trampoline champion against girls two years older than her.
Chloe Liddle is tipped for future Olympic success after winning the grade two British National Championship in the under-11 category.
The Cestria Primary School pupil, from Waldridge, in Chester-le-Street, also won the Northern under-nines and the Northern Schools under-11s.
Her father, Bryan Liddle, said: "We are obviously very proud and she has worked very hard.
"She has got a natural talent and only took it up 18 months ago after trying it on holiday.
"She has got high hopes and hopes to represent Great Britiain one day in the Olympic Games."
Chloe trains four times a week at the Apollo Trampoline Club at Washington Leisure Centre.
Head coach Bill Leach said she is doing double back somersaults and double forward somersaults with twist - moves girls of 15 can struggle with.
He said: "She has got star potential and she could go a long way with an international future.
"Chloe has got fantastic spatial awareness and she trains very hard.
"She is a remarkable talent and the way she moves at her age is tremendous."
Mr Liddle is looking for sponsorship to help Chloe realise her Olympic dream.
