BIKERS have handed over a bundle of toys collected during this year's Giving Tree appeal.
Members of the Motorcycle Action Group (Mag) are big fans of the appeal, which aims to give Christmas presents and hampers to the most vulnerable people in the Darlington area.
Yesterday, they presented the toys to Darlington Mayor Stella Robson outside the town hall.
This is the second year the group has collected toys for the Darlington appeal, which is organised by Darlington Borough Council's social services team.
Chris Wooff, spokesman for Mag, said: "Each year our members collect hundreds of toys for this worthy cause and we are delighted to be once again, part of this wonderful event. In addition, gifts have been collected for the Salvation Army Pass the Parcel appeal which also benefits the town."
Councillor Robson said: "I am delighted to accept these presents from the motorcycle group who do so much for charity. These gifts will make a real difference to children and families in Darlington this Christmas."
The deadline for donations has now passed.
