A GOURMET food store has raised £1,510 for an aromatherapy service at a hospital.
Lewis and Cooper, in Northallerton, raised the money at a charity day last month, when shoppers were invited to the store for food and wine tasting and competitions.
The money has been donated to the Alastair Bullen Aromatherapy Fund, which provides an aromatherapy service for patients in the Mowbray suite at the Friarage Hospital, in Northallerton.
Lewis and Cooper managing director Tony Howard said: "We always try to help a worthy cause at our pre-noel event and the Friarage Hospital provides a wonderful service.
"The Mowbray suite's aromatherapy fund helps to provide a much-appreciated and popular service to help local patients."
Sister Susan Whitehead, from the suite, said: "This very generous donation is much appreciated and we would like to thank Mr Howard for choosing us and everyone who helped for their support."
