HUGH Robertson will see a specialist this week after being ruled out of action, just one game into his comeback.
The left back made his return from injury in the win over Bournemouth at Victoria Park nine days back, but was forced out of Saturday's defeat at Walsall.
And the injury has caused some concern in the Pool camp, with boss Martin Scott revealing: "He trained Thursday and had a bit of a reaction to a knee problem.
"It's disappointing for the lad because he's only played once this season and did ever so well.
"He brings something else to the team with his left foot and it meant we had to reshuffle again.
"It's not ideal to have to change again, but when you've got players like Ritchie Humphreys who can come in and Tommy Butler to return, we can cope.
"He's hoping to see the consultant this week. We will look at it again on Monday and if he's not right, we can't play him.''
Another player to recently return from the long-term sick list, Micky Barron, hobbled off at the Bescot Stadium after just 15 minutes.
Scott said: "He's had a lot of injuries over the last 18 months.
"His back felt a bit stiff and when he took a throw in, he felt a muscle go, so we had to take him off.
"Darren Williams filled in excellently defensively and we have players more than capable of coming in.
"We all stick together and look forward to Barnsley on Boxing Day.''
Pool travel to Oakwell a week today before meeting Southend at Victoria Park on Wednesday week.
"We've loads of games coming up and we've a big squad - they will keep fighting for the club,'' said Scott.
"We keep believing and everyone knows how tight the division is - we are probably a couple of points down on last season - and we need to go on a little run, which we are more than capable of doing.''
