CHEMICALS company Elementis announced yesterday that its trading performance was in line with expectations.
The group, which has four principal divisions - specialities, pigments, chromium and rubber - said it would publish its full-year results at the end of February.
Elementis Chromium, in Eaglescliffe, Teesside, is carrying out a 90-day consultation process after the announcement that it was shedding 120 jobs and closing one of its kilns.
The group's interim report earlier this year showed that its chromium division had an operating loss of £1.1m before exceptional items, while its specialities and pigments divisions had operating profits of £6.4m and £300,000 respectively.
Its speciality rubber division showed an operating loss of £0.3m.
