A CRAFT fair is being held this weekend to raise money for lifesaving equipment.
Coxwold Crafters are raising funds to buy a defibrillator to be based at Sutton Bank Visitor Centre, near Thirsk, and train staff how to use it.
A total of £1,600 is needed.
Stephen Lilley, who has organised the fair, said: "This lifesaving equipment will be a tremendous asset should the need arise for walkers, cyclists and aviators using local recreational facilities, and motorists travelling on the A170 in the Sutton Bank area."
The fair is open today and tomorrow, 10am to 4pm, at the visitor centre. Stalls will offer Christmas decorations, wood turning, knitting and glasspainting, among others.
Admission is free, but children can pay £1 to take part in a decorations workshop.
