A MAN was robbed as he made his way to work on Thursday.
The incident happened in Factory Road, Blaydon, near Gateshead, which is part of the Blaydon Industrial Estate, off Chainbridge Road, between 10.40am and 10.45am.
Two men were seen outside the premises of JSB metals when they attacked a 39-year-old man arriving for work nearby.
One of the men wrestled a box containing personal items away from the victim.
The robbers then made off in a car, which has not yet been traced. The victim was left shocked but unhurt. The first man is described as in his early 30s, 5ft 10in, and stocky. He was wearing a dark three- quarter length jacket and woollen hat.
The second attacker is described as thin. He was waiting in a red or maroon vehicle, possibly a medium-sized Ford.
