FATHER Christmas visited a primary school yesterday - but beneath the whiskers was a familiar face.
Durham County Council Countryside Ranger Saul Fajerman is a regular and popular visitor to Kelloe Primary School and was asked to play Santa as the school held its seasonal festivities.
Mr Fajerman has been working with the pupils on several environmental projects at the school and has helped turn its grounds into a haven for wildlife.
Mr Fajerman said: "The wildlife garden has really made a difference to their school grounds.
"As a reward for all their hard work I'm sure the real Santa will leave them something nice on Christmas Day."
