CHILDREN in Seaham are putting the finishing touches to Christmas presents for disadvantaged youngsters.
The 11 to 13-year-olds have been making gifts during weekly craft workshops at Seaham Youth Centre.
They are putting the final touches to their gifts today before donating them to Metro Radio's Just for Kids appeal.
The sessions have been part of the year-long Defining the Future youth arts programme, devised by Easington District Council's arts development section.
They have been running as part of the Easington Social Inclusion Programme to help children develop their creativity and teamwork. The workshops have been led by artist Paul Belcher, of Melting Pot Arts.
The scheme is funded by the Local Strategic Partnership with money from the government's Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.
