PUPILS and staff at a Darlington school are celebrating after receiving praise from Government inspectors.
Mount Pleasant Primary School was rated as good in an Ofsted inspection that looked at all aspects of school life.
The report said: "Achievement is consistently good through the school. Personal development and well being are good overall.
"Children's behaviour is outstanding and they thoroughly enjoy learning. Teaching, learning and the curriculum are good."
The inspectors also praised the school's autistic unit and the work of the headteacher and deputy headteacher.
Chris McEwan, Darlington Borough Council's cabinet member for children's services, said: "The pupils, teachers and parents at Mount Pleasant Primary School should be very proud of their achievement. I am sure they will build on their success to improve even further in the months to come."
