A town has published a tourist calendar with a difference - showing its worst eyesores.
People living near the seafront in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, have become so fed-up with the boarded-up and abandoned buildings they decided to take action.
Called Whitley Decay, the calendar was the idea of Mike Reid, chairman of a residents' action group.
Among the sites featured are the run-down Spanish City amusement arcade and the crumbling Whisky Bends bar and Avenue pub.
Mr Reid said: "I walk my dog along the seafront every morning and have to pass these eyesores daily. Some of the buildings have been like this for years. Enough is enough."
A planned £19m revamp of the town suffered a setback earlier in the year when the Labour leadership decided to rethink the scheme.
North Tyneside Council said it was hoping private owners would want to redevelop their buildings when they saw regeneration plans coming to fruition.
Jim Allan, cabinet member for regeneration, said: "We share the concerns of Mr Reid and the residents of Whitley Bay and we do not want the town to be decaying."
Final designs are expected to be made public in January to allow feedback before a full planning application is submitted in March.
