PENSIONERS celebrated an early Christmas yesterday when they were entertained by Hurworth School pupils.
More than 100 people, many of them grandparents of the children, enjoyed a meal, singing, dancing and bingo.
Year seven children at the school raised funds and brought in food, crackers and prizes.
Children from all year groups entertained the pensioners with songs, dances and even bagpipes.
There was also a guest appearance from Santa.
This is the eighth year the school has organised Chirstmas dinner for pensioners.
