MOTHER Goose, the star of Sedgefield Players' annual pantomime, has had an accident resulting in a switch of roles.
Norma Neal, chairwoman of the group, fell while at work and decided she could not tackle the demanding role of Dame Mother Goose.
She has switched with another experienced member, Jean Hewling, taking over two nursery rhyme characters - The Old Woman in the Shoe and Man in the Moon.
The production, in Sedgefield Parish Hall, starts on Tuesday, December 27, and runs until Friday, December 30, at 7pm each evening, with a matinee on the Tuesday at 2pm.
Tickets at £6 (concessions £5) from Selections, High Street, or by ringing (01740) 621000 or members.
There is a discounted rate for block bookings of ten or more.
