A team of ten graduate tutors has been appointed at the Newcastle Business School to help strengthen its research capacity.
The team will deliver postgraduate and undergraduate programmes, as well as conducting research as part of their PhD programmes.
The research, which will range from corporate social responsibility and tourism marketing to corporate governance in East Asia, will inform their teaching.
Richard Slack, programme director for research at the school, which is part of Northumbria University, is responsible for the academic development of the group. He said: "We had an excellent response to the adverts for these posts and everyone appointed has been selected for their ability and strength of their initial research proposal presented at interview."
Nine of the ten graduate tutors are Northumbria University graduates and they believe their recent experience as both student and employee will have a positive effect on their teaching and research projects.
They are Karen Keith, Rima Hussein, Ru Lan, Fiona Robson, Ken Yeoh, Gregory Ludwig, Elmira Djaforova, David Hart, Roman Stepanov and Stephanie Mact.
