THE New Year is an opportunity for a new attitude as weight management courses begin in Chilton and Ferryhill next month.
Designed for those wanting to get slim and change their lifestyle, the courses include weekly weigh-ins, while health professionals will provide information and support regarding various health issues.
Dietary advice will be offered and different kinds of exercise will be explored. The course will also include several practical healthy cooking sessions, and a free recipe book.
The course uses information designed by South Durham and Darlington Dietetic Service and can also provide support for people with specialist dietary requirements.
The 12-week courses are free and start at Henderson House, Chilton, on Friday, January 13, from 10am to noon, and at Dean Bank Literary Institute on the same date, from 1pm until 3pm.
