THE winners of a charity raffle are to be drawn live on radio.
The annual Christmas raffle to raise money for St Cuthbert's Hospice will be drawn on Monday on Durham FM, the city's new radio station.
The first prize in the draw is £2,000, with other prizes including a mini cruise from Newcastle to Amsterdam donated by DFDS Seaways and two tickets to the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk at the Gala Theatre.
Tickets are priced £1 each or £5 for a book, available from the hospice right up to noon on Monday.
The hospice has a long connection with radio in the city - St Cuthbert's is now based in Park House at Merryoaks, which was home to BBC Radio Durham during the 1960s, where journalist Kate Adie began her illustrious career.
The winners will be drawn during Steve Phillips' afternoon show, from 2pm to 6pm.
